SUM, a platform for coupons and deals in the UAE, started out as a Facebook group before becoming an independent company. Kiitos supported the development of their website from the ground up. From front-end to back-end, reaching out to designers and more, we were there to give a helping hand. Now customers can find and share the promotions they love, giving them a better shopping experience.

The Brief

SUM had a vision of elevating their community into a company, however, they needed additional technical assistance to bring their vision to life. They sought Kiitos’ expertise to create a website where their services and products would be integrated for a better customer experience.

Our Approach

Kiitos provided SUM with two distinctive options, (1) working with third parties for data scraping or (2) embedding coupon hyperlinks to the retailers' websites. Option 1 incurred more costs and time, delaying SUM’s expected roll-out date. In alignment with the SUM founders’ initial wish to bring an all-in-one shopping experience to the users, Kiitos suggested first launching the website with direct coupon links, and then importing product information from retailers’ websites. This approach allowed SUM to build their user database and stay under budget.

The Solution

After integrating the promotion database with the user interface, Kiitos’ team managed to kick off the new website within a short time so that SUM's customers could have a seamless shopping experience. When the website was launched, we heard that SUM’s users were delighted that they now have access to all the available offers in one place.
